SPONSORSHIP
The Queensland State Emergency Services (SES) recognises the value of its brand and the community we reach. Companies keen to develop a relationship with SES and be involved in this market are encouraged to contact the SES Assistant Commissioner to discuss opportunities.
Sponsorship involves the provision of money, goods or services to SES, in return for agreed commercial benefits to the company.
Sponsorships are customised to ensure the relationship is successful for both parties, and involves a minimum period of three years.
The QSES sponsorship program has been expanded to further facilitate the delivery of benefits to QSES, their partners and the Queensland Community.
This expansion includes a multi-level strategy opening up a variety of opportunities for sponsorship across:
QSES Major Sponsor
The major sponsor is expected to receive an opportunity to brand the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) uniforms of all QSES members, approximately 7,000, as well as, prominent placement of their logo across properties contained within this Statement.
QSES Support Sponsors
Support sponsors will be independently aligned to one (or more) sponsor programs in conjunction with the Major Sponsor. As such
all support sponsor branding will be co-branded with the major sponsor.
Equipment Initiatives Support Sponsor
QSES State Office is responsible for the allocation of equipment items and for assessing their suitability to support service delivery and the
performance of QSES State approved functions.
Equipment is essential to train and equip SES members to provide their essential services during disasters and emergencies. Various
forms of equipment both directly or indirectly support SES functions, increase efficiencies and communications, and enable SES members
to provide a greater service to their communities.
Equipment Support Sponsorship provides the opportunity for a support sponsor to partner with QSES to deliver essential equipment initiatives
for the performance of the broad and diverse range of QSES state approved functions.
Rescue Competition Support Sponsor
The State Rescue Competition, which is held every two years, provides a unique opportunity for QSES teams from across the State to come together in a spirit of friendly rivalry to apply, practice and further develop general rescue related skills and knowledge.
QSES Week Support Sponsor
SES Groups around the country hold events to celebrate all that is great about SES volunteers.
QSES Week is celebrated annually with a number of local award ceremonies being held that culminate in the Queensland State Awards Ceremony held on the final Sunday of QSES Week. It is a State celebration that focuses on the dedication and commitment of the thousands of people who selflessly volunteer their time and energy to the State Emergency Service.
WOW Day Support Sponsor
Orange is the colour of the overalls worn by the SES volunteers when they help their community in times of disaster.
SES volunteers respond to floods, storms, road crash rescues, searches for lost and missing persons and many other requests for assistance, making them the most versatile of all the emergency services.
Wear Orange to Work (WOW) Day is part of an annual national initiative to recognise and thank volunteers for their tireless efforts in supporting the community when they need it the most.
