OPERATIONS DOCTRINE

The Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) Operations Doctrine is the organisation’s system for managing operational incidents and business practices. It features a number of components, as detailed below, which combine to provide the principles and standards the SES has set toward Operational and Business Management Directives.

The SES Operations Doctrine has been developed in accordance with section 147D of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Act 1990 whereby the chief executive may make codes of practice (doctrine) to provide guidance to SES members.

Operations doctrines are developed to comply with relevant Legislations and guide decisions to achieve outcomes. For instructions on "how to" refer to relevant procedural documents such as standard operating procedures, training guides, DUCOTs etc that comply with these operations doctrines.
