SES Week is an excellent opportunity to raise public awareness of SES members across the nation, the dedication and commitment by the members and the invaluable services they perform for their communities.
Queensland SES Week is celebrated in October. The efforts of the QSES are recognised during this celebratory week. The theme remains as a THANK YOU to all of our dedicated members with 2014 focusing on 'mates helping mates ... people helping people ...'.
Award Ceremonies will be held state-wide throughout QSES Week and culminate in the Queensland State Awards Ceremony in Brisbane.
There is also a national 'Wear Orange to Work' day that takes place in November, generally on the Wednesday of the 2nd week.
